Creative Stretchmarks

This blog gives official birth to the new art form of FILM COLLAGE, aka "FILMage" (philm-ahj).

collage film (n.): A film that juxtaposes fictional scenes with footage taken from disparate sources.

We're taking this one step further to strategically connect dynamic filmmakers for the very purpose of weaving better, more interesting stories.

Novelist Donald Barthelme said a long time ago that collage is the art form of the future--compilation is the new composition.

Creative masurbation sucks. We should be getting each other off! Collaborative endeavoring is the only way to sail.
Who are we looking for? Underground filmmakers, rule-breaking film students, youtube geniuses, kamikaze iPhone videographers, die-hard fans of Guy Maddin, Tarantino, and Charlie Kaufman... anyone hungry to create and see something new on film.

Our first project is taking a 10-minute piece called AGORABLE and working our magic. It's a comedy about an agoraphobic screenwriter who falls in love with herself. We need film from multiple sources to create the main character's hallucinatory writing sequences, to depict her writing multiple (insanely inspired) storylines. More information on how to submit later; subscribe to the blog to keep abreast of changes and progress.

This film is being produced in Hollywood and will be assembled by award-winning cinematographer Robert Poswall. It will be shopped around to major film festivals and seen internationally. This is a great opportunity to get exposure for your work.

Let's get crack-a-lackin'!
